To have biases is to be human. Biases help us decide what to wear, what to drink or what to watch on tv. At the same time, when biases become the basis for judging other people’s abilities, potential, and worth, a work or team environment can become exclusionary and hostile.
Neuroscience shows us that even when we believe to be inclusive-minded, we are all prone to categorizing our colleagues and peers through biased discriminatory judgments. This training asks participants to look below the surface of their own thinking and bring conscious awareness to create safe and inclusive environments.
